about anne

anne has been actively teaching mathematics for twenty years, since she first began tutoring as an undergraduate in 1990.   anne grew up in cincinnati, and graduated with a double major in math and physics from bowling green state university; she earned her BS in 1994, magna cum laude, phi beta kappa, with university honors, and a love of teaching.

her graduate work found her climbing the academic ladder, from northwestern university (MS in physics & astronomy, 1996) to duke university (PhD in mathematics, 2002) to stanford university (postdoctoral research).   her trek to california culminated in a baby boy and an urge to get back to her neck of the woods.   in 2004, anne took a tenure-track faculty position at centre college, a selective small liberal arts college in central kentucky, where she taught for five years as an assistant professor of mathematics.

anne now works from her home in cincinnati as a private tutor and online math instructor for ITT Technical Institute and the University of Phoenix, and spends time with her 7 year old son.
